I am using Daemon Tools as I do not have a DVD burner and right after I put the validation key in.....It freezes and loads my CPU to 100%.

Freezes RIGHT AFTER validation key is entered.
I recommend you use the drive emulator to mount the ISO, then copy the files in the ISO to the drive to which you wish to install Vista. Once the copy is complete, close the drive emulator and run setup from that open file structure instead.

I got round this problem by plugging the hard drive into another computer to install, and it worked fine on that computer... but then on moving the hard drive back to the original computer, it starts loading vista but then restarts itself. It won't even start in safe mode. Since it works on the other computer, i think it's some sort of a hardware compatibility issue.
